Georgio ‘the Dove’ Valentino, singer and song writer, originally from Detroit and now based in Brussels, first got in touch in Spring 2010, to interview me for his book about Paul Quinn. We met up in London but it soon transpired that Georgio already knew a lot more about Paul than I did. We kept in touch and Georgio arranged a gig in Brussels for the Sect and his own band in October 2010 at La Compilotheque.
Early 2011 we decided to get together to record a double A side single and in June Georgio and co. invited me to La Filature Studio in Brussels to record Better Not Turn On and Georgio’s number Marolles . We each did backing vocals on the other’s track.
Marolles and Better Not Turn On are now finished, hopefully the single will be released later this year.
